Photo exhibition “CONCERT” created in collaboration with photographer Aivars Liepins
“For years, I have had the idea of a photo exhibition that would reflect the emotions that I see every year in the eyes of the participants of the Come Along! festivals and concerts. How they rejoice at their own and friends’ successes, how they experience and worry before going on stage, with what dedication they perform! And then I met the well-known and experienced photographer Aivars Liepiņš, and the idea came to fulfillment,” says Sarma Freiberga, head of the Come Along! Foundation.
It has happened!
All the photos of the CONCERT exhibition were taken in May 2024 at the Integrative Arts Festival “Come Along!” at the VEF Culture Palace. Most of the pictures were taken not by capturing performances on stage, but exactly the opposite. The photographs reveal the emotions that prevail backstage and in the audience. And it is no less interesting!
